I am a Dropaholic

I was checking what's new in my igoogle awhile ago,and found a link to a post from the blog of greg mathews, the post is about his new site called DropaHolic.com, where it monitores who are the top 1oo droppers in entrecard, base on the monitored blogs that is listed on the site where you can also add your blog if you want your blog to be monitored, of couse that s if your blog is on entrecard.. as more entrecard bloggers adds their blogs, the list is always changing. But, for now, I think I am the #1,2 and 3 dropaholic at this time in the list LOL.

Dropaholic is not another one of those "drop 300 in 5 seconds" list because they only link the top 100 droppers and it doesn't mean being on top droppers list, they drop on 300 cards per blog or the limit of 600 drops per IP. On my part, being the #1 dropaholic in the list and having three blogs to manage.. it 's true, I just drop only on my list which I posted in my previous post (101 bloggers in entrecard to get backlinks) and of course on my entrecard inbox where I always reciprocate who drops on my blog. Sometimes if I have still free time, I go for the entrecard toolbar and click those two green arrows in random and see which interesting sites to appear and then drop, read, if i find a post that is interesting, I then leave a comment.

101 Blogs on Entrecard to Get Backlinks

This list of blogs are blogs that i have found on Entrecard that has a top droppers widgets on their sidebar and some just simply displays their top droppers of the month on their sidebars.

With little effort and consistency of dropping your card, you can easily work your way into the top droppers list and gain backlink from the blogs. The more backlinks you get, as lots of SEO's are saying, the more pagerank (PR) you will get on the next update of google pagerank.

Google ranks search engine results by link popularity, so getting lots of backlinks are important in acheiving a high search engine ranking. Of course quality backlink are much more favorable, but more backlinks also helps.

Autoplaying audio, ground for your Entrecard account deletion

There is a new post at entrecard blog today about Quality Standards for Entrecard, if you haven't visited entrecard blog or haven't read it in your email, you may want to check it out.

Included in the updated rules, autoplaying audio is now prohibited and your account will be automatically deleted without warning if found that your blog has autoplaying audio.

Also on the updated rules, "Entrecard widget must be present". So good luck for those who continually dropping their card even they do not have the entre widget on their blog.

Another thing, if you are using Firefox you may want to check your entrecard widget if it is working on IE, because sometimes the entre widget dont show on IE if you have put object/code on top of it. That happens to me before and never knew it until some IE users told me that they cannot see my entrecard widget. This could be bad for you if someone (IE user) report you that they are not seeing the entre widget.

Dropping EC using Google Chrome

Yeterday google announced the launching of chrome from their blog. So today, I thought of checking it out for myself and decided to download it. After downloading, I start exploring its features and I noticed immediately its blinding speed on loading pages, so I thought of dropping EC using this new browser. Went on my inbox on my Entrecard account, click and opened 10 entrecards in tabs then guess what?

The sites I opened loads quickly. Usually when I do my daily drops, I always disable the "automatic load images" in Firefox, to make a page load faster. But with this Chrome, it efficiently load a pages even without having to disable images from the browser, which i dont know yet if this new browser have this kind of feature. Unlike firefox, this beta release does'nt yet support extensions, so no entrebar yet when using Chrome. I'm looking forward for the full version release of Chrome. By the way, the download is offered only for windows XP and VIsta owners for now.

Reciprocate Fast on your Entrecard droppers

Just a quick tips on how to reciprocate fast on your daily/recent Entrecard droppers.

This tips is best if you're using Firefox



On your Entrecard dashboard, go to your 'drop inbox' tab, on the drop down menu open the 'cards you haven't dropped on'.. open each cards that's in there by using the middle ckick of your mouse, each card you middle click will open in a new tab. It depends on you on how many tabs you want to open at the same time with the cards, i usually do it with 20-30 tabs.

What if a blogs/sites you open takes too long to load up?

Usually, a site takes time to load if there are too many images that are embeded on the blog/site, If this is the case, either you disable the images or just you wait for the blog/site to load :)

How will I disable the images?

On your Firefox browser, click tools > click options and a pop-up window opens.. on the pop-up window, click 'content' tab, uncheck the box besides 'Load Images Automatically'.. then you must click the "Exceptions..." buttons to enable the images of entrecard.com and amazonaws.com.



Type in the box

entrecard.com
amazonaws.com

then hit enable.



You must do this before you are to start your dropping.


Additional tips:

- You can use shortcut on your keyboard to close a tab after a drop, press 'ctrl W'.

- It is best to have your Enrecard toolbar when you are dropping because you can also see the site's essentials info direct in to the Enrecard toolbar while viewing/making drops on particular blog/site (i.e. how much EC to advertise).

- You may want also to use this Firefox add-ons on my previews post, to see the page rank and alexa ranking of the blog/site while you are making your daily drops, you can choose on where you want to advertise on the blog/site that you think is performing well ;)

- You can also disable the odd behavior of mouse midle-click. The odd behavior- if you missed to middle-click a link, the tiny circle auto scroll thing appears.

My Online Journal Stuff

Finally, i got these pagepeelads working, wheew. Got the script and some other cool prizez from winning the 2nd prize in a blog contest two weeks ago,funny thing is, I've joined that contest a day before the last submission of entry, and it's my first time of joining a blog contest.. how lucky me :),.


Bout this page peel ads or corner peel script, after i've claimed and read all the procedure on how to install this peelads, i still wans'nt able to get it to work on my blogs, well i dont have problem understanding the code or script, which ever suit to call that, i just had the trouble hosting the script from the free hosting site that i signed with. But then after doing some googling and reading, i finally figured out some how to's on this matter, and making a daily rounds of dropping EC through Entrecard helps too, you'll find some interesting article while doing the drop, on my part, i got to read some tutorials regarding hosting, where and how, things like that. Now the pagepeelads installed on my blogs, it's at the top right corner of this blog. Maybe some will ask what would be the use of that, well for now, dont know either, but they say it has a high CTR (click through rate) for ads. I'm using it now just for advisement of my other blog. Also learned this week some how to's on modifying my blogger template, have change some part of the template of my Multiply themes blog, added some columns , put a tabbed sidebar navigation and add a comment form beneath the blog post on my 3 blogspot, learned all that from BloggerBuster.com, thank you :). Am just new here at blogging, started first week of July and still learning anything for my blog development. So that's it for now for my online journal, it's 3am now, need to get some sleep :)
