He has fought in many different mixed martial arts events like UFC and the recent one is in WEC. He lost the Featherweight title to Jose Aldo in WEC 44 but he was able to win his last match against Anthony Morrison via Submission in round 1 at 1:54 though the match is not a title bout.
Manvel Gamburyan is the cousin of former UFC fighter Karo Parisyan. He is currently rank as the no. 8 featherweight fighter in the world by Sherdog. He has also fought in different mixed martial events such as UFC and WEC and is included in The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale. His last match was at WEC 44 where he won against Leonard Garcia via Unanimous Decision.
One of the main cards in this Saturday’s WEC 48 is the Brown vs Gamburyan match as Mike Brown tries to reclaim his championship but has to win the match first with Manvel Gamburyan.
