The new trailer of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Here's the new movie trailer of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the film will be released on Nov. 21.

The actor's nephew, Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, plays the younger Riddle.

Well ,this movie trailer looks a bit creepy... but I’m very impressed with it.






update: on 14 August 2008, it was announced that the release date for the film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was to be pushed back to 17 July 2009.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie trailer is also Top six (6) on Yahoo Top 10 Trailers of 2008 and on the Top 10 Most-Watched Movie Trailers of 2008.

New search engine launched: Cuil

Seems like an awful amount of errors on this newly launched search engine called Cuil (pronounced 'Cool'), which is an old Irish word for Knowledge.

Cuil Inc. was created by Anna Patterson a former Google Inc. employee and her husband Tom Costello, that claims to offer complete user privacy and to cover three times as many Web pages as Google.

I've run a few searches to test this new search engine, but some results did'nt give me what i expect.

I searched for some words.. for example "Philippines" and got me the unexpected error message.. 'We didn’t find any results for “philippines”' .

Well the 2-3 columns layouts of the results page sure looks nice, the question is whether anyone will use it.

Rare Twins - One White One Black

Rare twins have become instant celebrities with one twin being Black and the other being White.

The twins were born at the Sana Hospital in Lichtenberg, Germany, causing a raucous due to their rare occurrence.

The rare twins Leo and Ryan were born to Florence and Stephen Gerth, a West African woman and a West German man.

Twins born with two different colors happens to one-of-a-million twin births, according to reports.

The babies, Ryan and Leo, are rare but still healthy.

Googlepedia Firefox extension

Googlepedia is a great Firefox add-on for Firefox users who are heavy Wikipedia users and do a lot of google searches.

The extension is designed to show the Wikipedia article related to the searched for keyword on the Google result pages itself.

Clicking a search in the wiki side will also automatically search the google side too.

This is a very useful extension if you do a lot of google searches as well as lots of wikipedia searches.

Steve Bartman Offered $25000 To Sign One Autograph

Steve Bartman is being offered $25,000 to sign one photo of himself at the upcoming sports collectibles convention in Chicago on July 31, 2008 at 1 P.M. The fan who reached out for a foul ball away from left fielder Moises Alou during game 6 of the Cubs' National League Championship Series game against the Florida Marlins.

According to the Web site Nsccshow.com, "This is the highest amount ever offered for a single sports autograph. A briefcase filled with $25,000 in cash is waiting for him in the Tristar Autograph Pavilion at the National Sports Collectors Convention. All he has to do is show up on Thursday July 31, 2008 at 1:00 PM, prove that he is the Steve Bartman pictured in this photo, sign the photo and the $25,000 is his."

By the way, no one in sports memorabilia history has ever been paid $25,000 to sign one autograph. Not Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, or any other athlete.

Disabling the Mouse odd middle-click behavior

Disable the "autoscroll mode", the one that, when you try to middle click on a link on a page.. the "Auto Scroll" icon shows up when you miss the link.

It can be turned off in the advanced options of Firefox but I guess you can't turn it off in Internet Explorer.

Click on tools > options > Advanced tab , then uncheck the 'Use autoscrolling' box.

should work on Firefox 2 or 3, no need to restart.

Richards and her friends went on vacation to Hawaii, as she was on the beach with her friends she went a little mad she was not happy at all when a paparazzo snaps pics of them sunbathing topless! she was certainly irate and nearly picked a fight with a photographer.

However the observation made by most celebrity profilers is that this stunt was stage managed. The whole thing looks like a staged, but maybe, Denise just wants to be a much complicated hot star.

The Peloponnesian War and the Statue of Liberty

The Peloponnesian War (431–404 BC) was an Ancient Greek military conflict, fought by Athens and its empire against the Peloponnesian League, led by Sparta. Historians have traditionally divided the war into three phases. In the first, the Archidamian War, Sparta launched repeated invasions of Attica, while Athens took advantage of its naval supremacy to raid the coast of the Peloponnese attempting to suppress signs of unrest in its empire. This period of the war was concluded in 421 BC, with the signing of the Peace of Nicias. That treaty, however, was soon undermined by renewed fighting in the Peloponnesus.

Liberty Enlightening the World (French: La liberté éclairant le monde), commonly known as the Statue of Liberty (French: Statue de la Liberté), was presented to the United States by the people of France in 1886. It stands at Liberty Island as a welcome to all visitors, immigrants, and returning Americans. The copper -clad statue, dedicated on October 28, 1886, commemorates the centennial of the United States and is a gesture of friendship from France to the U.S. Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi sculpted the statue and obtained a U.S. patent useful for raising construction funds through the sale of miniatures. Alexandre Gustave Eiffel (designer of the Eiffel Tower) engineered the internal structure. Eugène Viollet-le-Duc was responsible for the choice of copper in the statue's construction and adoption of the repoussé technique.

Worldwide, the Statue of Liberty is one of the most recognizable icons of the United States,and, more generally, represents liberty and escape from oppression. The Statue of Liberty was, from 1886 until the jet age, often one of the first glimpses of the United States for millions of immigrants after ocean voyages from Europe. Visually, the Statue of Liberty appears to draw inspiration from il Sancarlone or the Colossus of Rhodes.

Miss Venezuela, was crowned Miss Universe 2008

Miss Universe 2008, was held at the Crown Convention Center (Diamond Bay Resort) in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 13, 2008.
Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza, has won the Miss Universe pageant. The 22-year-old, beats runners-up from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Russia and Mexico

Eighty contestants competed in the event in the seaside city of Nha Trang, Vietnam, hoping to succeed reigning Miss Universe Riyo Mori of Japan.

The excitement was spectacular upon the announcement of the top 10 contestants..
The top ten finalists are Dayana Mendoza -Venezuela, Zana Krasniqi -Kosovo, Elisa Najera -Mexico, Laura Dundovic -Australia, Marianne Cruz Gonzalez -Dominican Republic, Claudia Ferraris -Italy, Taliana Vargas -Colombia, Vera Krasova -Russia, Crystle Stewart -USA and Claudia Moro -Spain.

Five contestants were eliminated after evening gowns competition, and then the announcement of the top 5 contestants..

Dayana Mendoza, Miss Venezuela, was crowned Miss Universe 2008 by outgoing titleholder Riyo Mori of Japan.

ERASERHEADS one-night concert

ERASERHEADS: The Greatest Filipino Band of All Time!!! the legendary OPM rock band finally confirmed that they will reunite for a one-night concert to be held at the CCP Open Grounds on August 30, 2008.

The Eraserheads ( E-Heads ) is one of the most successful bands in the history of Pinoy Music, formed by Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro. The band was given the title "The Beatles of the Philippines."

The band members unfortunately disband, when Lead vocals Ely Buendia had left the band in 2002 for unknown reasons.

But finally,. the long wait are over.. August 30, 2008—the official date of the Eraserheads reunion concert after six years of not playing music together.

So, all E-heads Fans out there Cheers!.. and Lets Volt-in!!!

2. Adblock Plus - This adds-on may not be good for the ads and banners on the internet.
Because this adds-on will block most advertisements fully automatically upon filter
subscription. But in publisher side, i guess, this would be good thing. If they dont see the
ads, then there would be no Invalid Clicks and Impressions :)

3. Web Developer - Adds a menu and a toolbar with various web developer tools. From
viewing the entire CSS code and the HTML on the page and a lot more, It just so many
options.

4. IE Tab - an extension from Taiwan, features: Embedding Internet Explorer in tabs of Mozilla/Firefox.
Here you can also have IE in Firefox. I don't use it very often, just when i have to view my
Multiply site after tweaking some css code to look if its not misaligned with IE.

How to install pre-made Multiply Themes on your Multiply site

First step is to select a basetheme from the original themes on the Multiply theme selection page. Go to SETTINGS located on the top right corner of the screen to select the base theme, then select My SITE (Another way is clicking the Customize My Site link located on the rail of your page under your headshot). A yellow "edit" box will appear at the very top of your page, Click the choose a theme link and choose the base theme of the pre-made multiply theme you are going to use (Every pre-made multiply themes is based on an original theme that can be found on the Multiply theme selection page). you may clink this link for a shortcut http://multiply.com/setup/pages/themes

After selecting a the base theme the second step is to copy the css code of the pre-made multiply theme that you're going to use. Repeat the First step and this time instead of the choose a theme link, Click the custom CSS link on the yellow "edit" box. Tips and Tricks for your Multiply Themes

Replace the usual underline text decoration of links in your multiply themes

I used a small animated gif arrow image as my underline for the links when hover,. (size of image depends on you, just make it sure it is small and will look like a line when on repeat-x)

this is the image i used (the size is 10x5)..

you can do this on all links on your entire site or just a section of your site links only..

this code is for navbar links only

a.topt:hover, a:visited.topt:hover, a:link.topt:hover, a.toptsel:hover, a:visited.toptsel:hover, a:link.toptsel:hover { text-decoration:none; padding-bottom: 2px; background: url(image_url_here) repeat-x bottom ; }


this code is for entire links..


a:hover, a:visited:hover, a:link:hover { text-decoration:none; padding-bottom: 2px; background: url(image_url_here) repeat-x bottom; }


just choose a proper selector where you want to apply this..

you can adjust the padding to place it at the top(as overline), bottom(underline) or midlle(like strike-through)..


value of text-decoration must be none..

NOTE: if you use the second code.. all links will have that underline image ,. including photos
in album, thumbnails (if sets in thumbnails) and all headshot links.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
if you want the usual text decoration, here are some you can use,.

Value's of text decoration

text-decoration: underline; text-decoration: overline; text-decoration: linethrough; text-decoration: blink;
text-decoration: underline overline;

the secret,. use "DEFECT ANIMATED GIF"

How do you make a defect animated gif?
The easy way, is to make a picture defect intentionally by a HEX-Editor program, which you can find free on internet . open your gif image with this program and delete 1 row of picture's pixel (the last row).. that's it.. you have your defect animated gif..

Important NOTE from journal of journey: make back-up first of your perfect animated gif before making it defect..
